Activities

Studies and research, Publications and Cultural Promotion are the areas of intervention on which the activities of the Associazione Civita are focused:

Studies and Research
To underscore its authoritative role in the cultural policy debate, the Association explores issues such as the relations between culture and enterprise, the valorisation of cultural assets and tourism, new technology and the cultural heritage. In these ambits the activities developed by the Study Centre entail consultancy for the associated enterprises, the performance of surveys and research and the construction of a monitoring centre structured in thematic databases.

Publications
To ensure the circulation of reflections on issues of economics and culture, and to disseminate the results of its research work, the Association avails of a range of editorial tools: as well as the Civita Report, an annual survey performed in collaboration with authoritative sector experts, there is the series I Quaderni and Il Giornale di Civita, published every month as a supplement to Il Giornale dell’Arte.

Cultural Promotion
The Association has a twofold approach to cultural promotion. On the one hand it provides opportunities for stimulating the cultural debate on issues emerging within the sector. On the other it is engaged in organising initiatives that combine the valorisation of cultural sites with new modes of using them. The Association is particularly active in the planning and organisation of: Conferences and Meetings, Events, Special Initiatives and Educational Activities.
To guarantee high quality standards in the services offered, in 2003 the Association obtained the UNI EN ISO 9001 certification for its activities.
In Civita there is also a special associative space, Amici di Civita (Friends of Civita) open to all those who love art and wish to support it.
